Wes Eisold teases new American Nightmare material on Where it Went podcast
American Nightmare, Rise Records
Wes Eisold — the lead singer of the Boston hardcore band American Nightmare and Cold Cave — was the latest guest on Where it Went, a podcast that interviews musicians about the influential punk label, Revelation Records. The video interview was part of a Where it Went takeover of the Revelation Records Instagram page.
You can watch the full interview with Eisold here.
In addition to nerding out on the Revelation Records discography, Eisold opened up about the early days of American Nightmare, the petering out of his grindcore project, Some Girls, and American Nightmare’s well-received 2011 reunion:
“It’s strange to think that the band has existed for twice as long at this point than it did (for the) original run,” Eisold, Where it Went podcast.
Though American Nightmare disbanded in 2004 only to reunite seven years later, they seem to have plenty of gas in their tanks today. The band put out a new album in 2018, their first record since releasing We’re Down Till We’re Underground in 2003. And, according to Eisold, they’re working on some new demos as we speak, so let’s hope there’s a fourth American Nightmare LP in our not-so-distant future.
Now if only Jawbreaker could follow suit and release that fabled reunion record, I’d be a happy camper.
