Punknews.org recently published an interview with Vinnie Caruana, the lead vocalist of The Movielife and I Am the Avalanche.

In the interview, Caruana talks about the creative process behind I Am the Avalanche’s new album, DIVE. Released back in November on I Surrender Records, DIVE is the Brooklyn band’s first album since their 2014 LP, Wolverines.

More importantly, Caruana dropped some wonderful quarantine advice in the interview for everyone who is stuck inside: write a song, even if you don’t know how to.

“It’s gonna be a long winter, learn the piano, write yourself a song. It feels fucking amazing to let it all out and have that outlet. I think it’s really important. You’ll be so happy.” - Vinnie Caruana, Punknews.org.

I don’t know about you, but I needed to hear that.

Check out that interview here and listen to the self-titled track off DIVE below. While you’re at it, have a solo circle-pit in your kitchen; your neighbors below will understand.
